Virtual Golf Tournament will be Livestreamed on Facebook

NEW YORK, NY, June 23, 2020 – The National Basketball Players Association and its for-profit arm, THINK450, are pleased to announce that it will host its first-ever online World Golf Tour (WGT) tournament on Wednesday, June 24. NBPA members Danilo Gallinari, Garrett Temple, Mason Plumlee and Seth Curry will compete against one another on WGT by Topgolf, the #1 online, free golf game which allows players to virtually play legendary courses such as Wolf Creek, Kiawah and Pinehurst.

Hosted by the NBPA, the Michelob ULTRA Open on WGT by Topgolf is a one-day tournament, with three rounds of nine holes of play. The winner of the tournament will receive $25,000 to be donated to a charity of their choice related to either COVID-19 or social justice efforts.

  • Round 1: Danilo Gallinari vs. Seth Curry at 4pm EST
  • Round 2: Garrett Temple vs. Mason Plumlee at 5pm EST
  • Championship Round: Winner of Round 1 vs. Winner of Round 2 at 6pm EST

The tournament will be livestreamed on WGT’s Facebook and posted afterward on the WGT’s YouTube channel.
